An official invitation letter from the NAPP 2003 Organizing committee; will be provided upon request. It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential participants to raise funds or to obtain a visa. This invitation does not imply a commitment to provide any financial support. Request should be sent to the Conference secretariat. Certificate of Attendance will be available at the registration desk upon request. A valid passport is required for entry into Croatia. Very few nationalities must have a visa. Please consult the nearest Croatian Consulate for specific details. The Conference registration fee does not include insurance. Participants are responsible for their own insurance. Health and accident insurance is recommended and has to be purchased in your country of origin. The weather in Dubrovnik in May is sunny and very pleasant with an average daytime temperature of 23oC. Average temperature of the sea near Dubrovnik in May is 21oC. Typical wind in summer is mistral (NW). Electricity is supplied at 220 Volts A/C, 50 Hz cycle. The official currency of the Republic Croatia is the Croatian kuna (HRK). Foreign currency may be exchanged at banks exchange counters and  exchange offices at post offices and travel agencies, hotels, and airports. All major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, stores, and restaurants. Normal working hours are from 8 a.m.; to 7 p.m. Most of the shops are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday. On Saturdays the shops are open until 2 p.m. and are closed on Sundays. |
